Dedicated team is seeking an experienced Pump Truck Operator!

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Pump Operator is responsible for driving and operating a pump safely, in addition to being responsible for the daily maintenance of the pump truck. The operator coordinates the placement of ready-mix concrete through a pump at job sites, sets up concrete delivery systems, monitors the movement of concrete to locations where it is poured, and resolves issues related to the pouring of the pump-able concrete. Further, this position supports the crews in making the process easy for them.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Driving safely to job sites.

• Operating pump in a safe manner.

• Maintaining the cleanliness and operations of the pump. Inspect and maintain pump/boom equipment every day to ensure safety and prevent damage to equipment and surrounding structures.

• Supporting the crews in ensuring the pour process is easy for them.

• Meeting daily production goals working closely with job site foreman and superintendent.

• Submitting DVIR's daily for pump truck.

• Wearing your PPE daily.

• Maintaining your CDL requirements, attending required certification training as deemed necessary by your supervisor.

• Supporting crews from time to time and as needed as may be assigned to working with others on wall/strip crew and mechanic.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR ORGANIZATION

• Valid CDL and in constant good standing.

• Minimum of 1 year experience with a pump.

• Knowledge of and attention to safety procedures while performing driving and materials handling tasks.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to read and understand maps, routes, road signs, etc.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out route assignment.

• Ability to read and understand machine and equipment diagrams and system schematics.

  • Basic mechanic experience is preferred, but not required.

• Completion of a minimum pump operator certification or training performed internally by Unit Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and on occasion up to 100 pounds.

• Must be able to physically operate pump truck equipment (climb up and down large equipment, twist torso for 360-degree visibility, use arms to operate controls, etc.)

• Must be able to reach with hands and arms, stand; talk or hear; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Hourly Rate Range: $28 - $36 DOE. PLUS $2,000 Sign-on Bonus at the end of six months.
